On Learning a New Skill


Let’s teach for mastery, not test scores

Would you choose to build a house on top of an unfinished foundation? Or, would you build the first floor of the house when the foundation is only 50%, 75% or 85% complete? Would you move up the black belt level if you have not mastered the yellow belt? Of course not. Why, then, do we rush students through education when they haven’t always grasped the basics? Then we would blame the students, or the teachers. The students are not focused. They don’t have the A+ gene. The teacher has no pedagogic skills. BUT ACTUALLY IT IS THE PROCESS IN OUR CURRENT EDUCATION FORMAT THAT IS FLAWED. Watch the VIDEO.
