Winter Solstice

It was the longest night of the year
Dec. 21 with lots of fun and cheer
Twas so memorable spending it with you
A little of brandy, much luck and chew
We heard and prayed the evening liturgy
Listened to the beautiful magnificat of Mary.
Tore all the wraps of generosity and love
Yours was the most beautifully thought of
Don’t judge the gift by its cover
Blown away with what you’ll discover
A pair of gorgeous black hoofs
Perfect for any trek, weatherproof
We cuddled and kiss
Reached for the bliss
Woke up somniculous
But vivacious
Twas the night’s winter solstice
A night of promise and solace.
